Unidentified Male Body Located in Jackson County

Investigators are seeking the help of the public in identifying a deceased male located in Jackson County on May 30, 2020.

Jackson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) deputies were called to an area near Colorado Highway 125, milepost 27, trailhead for Trail 1226, where a passerby discovered a body near the road this past weekend.

While investigators are not releasing the cause of death, the man is believed to have been a homicide victim.

The body is that of a white male, possibly in the age range of 20s-30s. The man has brown hair, and is approximately 5'10", 160-170 lbs.

Law enforcement officials have searched local, state and national databases, however, there has been no positive identification of the man to date.

Anyone with information about this incident or the identity of the man is asked to contact the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) at 303-239-4148.

The CBI was requested to investigate this case in conjunction with the Jackson County Sheriff's Office and the 8th Judicial District Attorney's Office.
