The Colorado Bureau of Investigation Forensic Services' four laboratories are accredited by ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB). Accreditation is based on ISO/IEC 17025: 2017 standard and the ANAB 17025:2017 Forensic Science Testing and Calibration Accreditation Requirements.

Our toxicology labs maintain Colorado State certification from the Colorado Department of Health and Environment (CDPHE) to perform toxicology testing in the following categories: Blood Alcohol, Blood Drug, Urine Drug, and Post Mortem.
- Additional Quality Assurance Standards for DNA

Additionally, the DNA sections of our labs are inspected and held to the FBI's 2020 Quality Assurance Standards for DNA Casework and Databasing Laboratories.
