Gun Show Posted Notice
Notices, in a format described below shall be posted conspicuously by a gun show promoter at every public entrance to a gun show, including all driveway entrances to parking facilities.
- Notices shall measure no less than two feet by three feet with contrasting black letters measuring no smaller than two inches in height. Notices shall be made of such material as will withstand and remain legible under any weather conditions.
- Notices shall state, "No one may transfer a firearm without first obtaining a background check through a licensed gun dealer if any part of the transaction occurs on these premises/or parking facilities." CRS 12-26.1-101.
- Failure to post in accordance with rule will subject the promoters to criminal penalties as prescribed in CRS 12-26.1-104.

- What constitutes a gun show?

"Gun show" means the entire premises provided for an event or function, including but not limited to parking areas for the event or function, that is sponsored to facilitate, in whole or in part, the purchase, sale, offer for sale, or collection of firearms at which:
(a) Twenty-five or more firearms are offered or exhibited for sale, transfer, or exchange, or
(b) Not less than three gun show vendors exhibit, sell, offer for sale, transfer, or exchange firearms.
