If you were unable to attend our missing in Colorado event in August and are interested in providing a
family reference sample please consider attending our open house.  A family reference is simply a cheek
swab obtained using a large Q-tip.

Additionally, if you have photos of your missing loved one or medical/dental records that you would like to
provide please bring those as well.  We will scan those records and send the originals home with you.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is hosting an open house for families who have missing
loved ones and are interested in providing a family reference sample.

The open house will be held at the CBI Headquarters which is located at 690 Kipling Street, Denver, CO
80215 in Lakewood.  The open house will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 from 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm.

Ideally we would like to collect 2 family reference samples in each missing person case.  We would
prefer the mother and father if they are available and willing.  If not, we would like to collect from siblings.
If you have already reported your missing loved one to law enforcement but have not yet provided a
family reference sample please consider attending our open house.

As a reminder this is for families who have already reported their loved ones as missing but still need to
provide a family reference sample.   If you have a missing loved one and have not yet reported them to
local law enforcement please do that before attending this open house.  Another event will be held in
November.
