May 30, 2024 – CBI – , Park County, CO - On Tuesday, May 28th, 2024, at approximately 12:24 PM, the Park County Sheriff’s Office received a report of potential human remains found in an area outside of Bailey on United States Forest Service (USFS) land. Officials from the Park County Sheriff’s Office, the Park County Coroner’s Office, and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) confirmed the finding as human remains.
The location of the discovery is a remote camping area outside of Bailey, the scene remains secure. Forensic specialists and authorities are conducting a meticulous examination to collect evidence and ascertain the circumstances surrounding the finding. The process of identification is underway, conducted with utmost care and respect for accuracy.
As of now, information regarding the case is limited. Collaboratively, the Sheriff’s Office, the Coroner’s Office, and CBI are diligently working to unravel more details. Further updates will be provided as new information emerges.
