05/23/2019—The CBI recently hosted a Lunch and Learn session attended by a representative of Be the Match, an organization dedicated to growing the National Marrow Donor Program to connect people diagnosed with life-threatening blood cancers with life-saving transplants.
Be the Match hits close to home. The husband of a CBI employee required a bone marrow transplant from his sister to battle Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) in recent months. He is on the road to recovery, but his journey touched the hearts of many members of the CBI. Many wanted to know how they could contribute to this important cause. Be the Match is proudly partnering with the CBI to share information about bone marrow donations.
