November 4, 2025 – CBI – Kremmling, CO – The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) can now share the Grand County Coroner’s Office has identified the individual involved in the recent death investigation as Joshua Horsley, 25, of Kremmling, Colorado.

November 3, 2025 – CBI – Kremmling, CO – The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has initiated a suspicious death investigation in Kremmling, Colorado, and is working collaboratively with the Kremmling Police Department and the Grand County Coroner.

October 23, 2025 – CBI – Federal Heights, CO – The Federal Heights Police Department is pleased to announce the safe recovery of a 2-year-old boy, forcibly taken by his father, Louis Salvador, early yesterday evening. Federal Heights Police requested assistance from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in issuing an alert to assist in recovering the child.

October 3, 2025 – CBI – Telluride, CO – The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) can confirm Mr. Jesus Damian Nieblas, a former deputy with the San Miguel County Sheriff’s Office, has been taken into custody. Nieblas was apprehended by Mexican authorities in the border town of Agua Prieta, Mexico and was transferred to the custody of the U.S. Marshals at the border checkpoint near Douglas, Arizona.

Thompson, at the suggestion of the Pitkin County Sheriff’s Office following a request from his widow, Anita Thompson. The review is being conducted to provide an independent perspective on the 2005 investigation.
