February 16, 2026– CBI – La Junta, CO – The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) provided assistance to the La Junta Police Department (LJPD), the lead agency, in a homicide investigation that resulted in the arrest of an 18-year old suspect on February 14, 2026.

In addition to a Resolution being read at the Capitol, a prayer vigil will honor more than 600 individuals currently missing for a year or more in the State of Colorado.

January 13, 2026– CBI – Pueblo, CO – The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the 10th Judicial District Attorney’s Office are providing an update on the ongoing investigation into the Davis Mortuary, confirming that the number of positively identified bodies by the Pueblo County Coroner has climbed from six to nine. The remains identified are from individuals who died between the years 2010 and 2012.
