Federal Heights Police Safely Recover Endangered Missing Child; Father in Custody

October 23, 2025 – CBI –  Federal Heights, CO – The Federal Heights Police Department is pleased to announce the safe recovery of a 2-year-old boy, forcibly taken by his father, Louis Salvador, early yesterday evening. Federal Heights Police requested assistance from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in issuing an alert to assist in recovering the child.  

The child was reported to have been last seen on October 22, 2025, at 6:00 pm  with Salvador in the 2500 block of W 92nd Ave. in Federal Heights.  CBI issued a Missing Endangered Alert at approximately 12:31 am, on October 23, 2025. Following the issuance of the alert, local, state and federal law enforcement partners engaged in an extensive search resulting in the safe recovery of the child. 

The child has been reunited with his mother.

Louis Salvador, 41, was taken into custody by Federal Heights Police for active arrest warrants for felony domestic violence assault, misdemeanor child abuse and a restraining order violation. Charges related to this particular incident are pending.

The Federal Heights Police Department extends its sincere gratitude to Denver Police and the FBI Safe Streets task force, as well as the public, for their quick response and assistance in ensuring the safe resolution of this incident.

No further information will be released at this time as the investigation is ongoing.
