National Missing and Murdered Indigenous Person Awareness Day - May 5

In Honor of this day, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is featuring the images of 15 Missing or Murdered Indigenous Persons in Colorado.

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation and the Division of Criminal Justice, within the Department of Public Safety, operate the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives dashboard.

Additionally, the Colorado Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management established and is staffing a Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives (MMIR) Phone Line to receive and refer calls from the public. The dedicated phone line for missing or murdered Indigenous relatives operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, where staff provides information, conducts follow-up, and connects callers with the appropriate local law enforcement contact or the Office of the Liaison for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives.
