01/08/2019—Authorities have identified the human remains discovered near the town of Aguilar in Las Animas County on Sunday, January 6, 2019.
Following an autopsy conducted by the coroner in Pueblo on January 8, it was determined the remains are of LeBrea Jackson (DOB: 03/06/1995), a woman who was reported missing to the Aurora Police Department by family members last month.
This investigation now shifts from the Las Animas County Sheriff’s Office and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation to the Aurora Police Department (APD).
