Grand County Homicide Arrest Made in Connection with Body Found in Jackson County

A Granby man has been arrested for homicide in connection with a body found in Jackson County on May 30, 2020.

Christopher Thomas Corcorran, 33, was taken into custody on a judicial arrest warrant for First-Degree Murder in the evening hours of June 18, 2020.

Dustin Bryant, 42, of Wheat Ridge was discovered in Jackson County near Colorado Highway 125, milepost 27, trailhead for Trail 1226, where a passerby spotted Bryant's body near the road and alerted the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.

During the course of the investigation, agents with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI), in collaboration with multiple area agencies, gathered evidence that Mr. Bryant was killed in Grand County and his body moved to Jackson County. The investigation ultimately led to the identification of Mr. Corcorran and his alleged role in Mr. Bryant's homicide. Both parties were known to one another. Authorities assess there is no further risk to public safety.

Mr. Corcorran is being held without bond at the Grand County jail. His advisement on formal charges is slated for July 1, 2020. The case number is 20CR55.

The case,is being handled by the CBI, the Grand County Sheriff's Office and the 14th Judicial District Attorney's Office.

All persons accused of a crime are presumed innocent until their guilt is established in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
