CBI, Northern CO Crime Stoppers Offer Reward in Hudson Homicide

01/02/2020—The CBI has teamed up with Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers and the Town of Hudson to offer a reward for information in connection with the homicide of Shane Phelan in Hudson last October. Below is the news release from Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers requesting information about Phelan’s homicide.


A reward of up to $10,000 has been offered for information leading to the arrest and the filing of charges against the person(s) responsible for the homicide of a Hudson man occurring in October.

Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers, the Town of Hudson and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) have created the reward fund for information that leads to an arrest and the filing of criminal charges.

If you chose NOT to remain Anonymous you can call 720-640-7545 to pass on your information and still be eligible for only the Hudson reward of up to $8000. Your Identity would not be protected by Crime Stoppers.

The Hudson Police Department Office requested assistance from the CBI to investigate the homicide of 52-year-old Shane Phelan (Fay-Lynn), occurring in the 100 block of Dahlia Street in the evening hours of October 9, 2019.

Phelan was pronounced deceased at the scene. Investigators believe Phelan was murdered; however, the cause and manner of death are not being released at this time due to the ongoing investigation.

The Hudson Police Department, the CBI and the Weld County District Attorney’s Office are investigating this case.
