Rob Low has been named the Strategic Communications Director for the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI). He began his tenure on March 18, 2024.
“Rob brings a new perspective to this position as a long-time Investigative Reporter to this key function within the CBI,” said CBI Director Chris Schaefer. “As someone with a long track record of covering criminal justice issues from multiple perspectives, we thought he would be ideal in relaying information regarding CBI’s roles and responsibilities in Public Safety, as well as the men and women who carry out these important duties.

Low comes to CBI after 10 years with FOX31 Denver as an investigative reporter. He began his career in Grand Junction, CO with reporting stops in Fort Myers, FL, New Orleans, LA, Kansas City, MO before finally making it back to his hometown so he could keep better tabs on his beloved Denver Nuggets. He is a graduate of the University of Washington with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Broadcast Journalism.

“It’s a source of pride to be part of the CBI team, and to have the opportunity to provide information to the media, the public and our law enforcement partners throughout the state,” said Low.
