March 2, 2026 – CBI – Alamosa, CO – The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is assisting the Alamosa County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) with a homicide investigation following an incident that occurred on Sunday, March 1, 2026.
At approximately 6:20 p.m. on March 1, Alamosa County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence in the 3000 block of Lincoln Ave. after receiving a report of a 49-year old adult male who was unconscious and not breathing.
Upon arrival, deputies located a deceased male with visible injuries inside the residence. A female reporting party was also located and interviewed at the scene. The Alamosa County Coroner's Office is responsible for releasing the victim's identity after proper next-of-kin notifications have been made.
Investigators are actively searching for an adult male identified as Fernando Rodriguez, 44, a resident of Alamosa. Rodriguez is believed to be driving a green 1995 Subaru Station Wagon with Colorado license plate AXO-F61.
The Alamosa County Sheriff's Office is working closely with the CBI, the Alamosa Police Department, and the Colorado State Patrol on this active investigation.
