In 2020 at the age of 57, my husband was diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia. In 2021 he was placed in memory care. Within the first two weeks of him being placed into memory care, he escaped and both times was found 9 miles away. Being where the facility was located, three police jurisdictions were used to help find him. The last escape was in the middle of the night, he was found safe at 2:30 in the morning. If we would have had a tracking device available, we would have been able to have found him quickly and not have used as many valuable resources to find him.
